Milan, 12 July (LaPresse) – The research department of Cgia di Mestre reports that if the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration remain the same as today, they would cost our country approximately 3.5 billion euros in lost exports. If, on the other hand, customs tariffs were to be raised to 20%, the economic damage would amount to €12 billion. The estimates contained in the CGIA analysis were taken from calculations made a few months ago by the OECD; these figures do not include the economic impact of any tariffs that may be applied to individual products.
