Rome, 29 July (LaPresse) – "This is the decisive moment in the negotiations. The agreement reached by the Commission represents an important and significant political understanding that avoids escalation and therefore a trade war. But now it needs to be implemented in the various sectors to make it fair and sustainable. We will make every effort to protect Italian-made products: from automotive components to pharmaceuticals, from microelectronics to mechanics, from wines to agri-food products." This was stated, according to reports, by the Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Sen. Adolfo Urso, speaking at the CAIE meeting, commenting on the agreement between the European Union and the United States on 15% tariffs. The goal, Urso added, ‘has not yet been achieved, and now is the time to make our case.’ As far as we are concerned, ‘we must also avoid any consequences for foreign investment in Italy.’
