Rome, 4 September (LaPresse) – Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91. The announcement was made by the company in a statement. “It is with infinite sorrow that the Armani group announces the passing of its creator, founder and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani,” the statement reads. 'Mr Armani, as he was always called with respect and admiration by employees and collaborators, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Tireless, he worked until his last days, dedicating himself to the company, the collections, and the various new projects in progress and in the pipeline." Giorgio Armani's funeral chapel will be set up on Saturday, 6 September, and will be open to visitors until Sunday, 7 September, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in Milan, at Via Bergognone 59, at the Armani/Teatro. At Mr. Armani's express wish, the funeral will be held privately. This is according to a statement released by the company.
