Milan, Sept. 10 (LaPresse) – "The merger" with MPS "could ultimately be the lesser evil." So said Mediobanca CEO Francesco Saverio Vinci, in a videoconference with around a thousand employees of the investment bank, referring to the new MPS shareholder with the outcome of the Opas on Piazzetta Cuccia. "Imagining a scenario in which there are two entities so different yet linked by a shareholding but unable to create real synergies would not have been the best picture for the bank," he added.
