Turin, 27 Dec. (LaPresse) – "Following a strategic review, we have decided to discontinue our commercial drone delivery plans in Italy. Despite positive engagement and progress with Italian aerospace authorities, the broader environment in which we operate in Italy does not currently provide the conditions necessary for our long-term goals for this service. Our drone delivery projects in the United States and the United Kingdom are continuing positively, with test flights and commercial deliveries proving effective and well received by customers." Amazon announced this in a statement regarding the suspension of the Prime Air service in Italy, adding that ‘with over €25 billion invested in Italy over the last 15 years and more than 19,000 direct employees in over 60 locations across the country, we continue to serve our customers in Italy and offer them an excellent shopping experience.’
