Milan, 23 Feb. (LaPresse) – The total gross investments of the Enel Group in the 2026-2028 Strategic Plan amount to about 53 billion euros, an increase of around 10 billion euros compared to the previous Plan. The group reports in a note that it plans to allocate over 26 billion euros to the Integrated Business, of which about 20 billion euros to Renewables, with an increase of around 8 billion euros compared to the previous Plan to add approximately 15 GW of new renewable capacity, Greenfield and Brownfield; over 26 billion euros to Networks, of which about 55% in Italy and the remaining part distributed between Iberia and Latin America. Between 2026 and 2028 the Group has planned total gross investments in the Integrated Business for over 26 billion euros. In particular, the Group plans a strong acceleration of investments in Renewables, which will reach about 20 billion euros (+about 8 billion euros compared to the previous Plan), focusing on geographies with significant electricity demand growth. Specifically, the Group plans to invest about 50% of the capex allocated to renewables in Europe, to be allocated among public auctions, hybridizations, and repowering of plants, as well as Brownfield opportunities.
