Bangkok (Thailand), 9 March (LaPresse) – The crisis in Iran and rising oil prices are dragging down Asian stock markets, starting with Tokyo, where the Nikkei 225, despite partially recovering its losses, fell 5.2% to 52,728.72 at the end of trading. South Korea's Kospi fell 6% to 5,251.87 points, while Chinese markets, which tend to be less influenced by global trends, recorded more moderate losses. Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 1.6% to 25,343.77, while the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.7% to 4,097.69. Taiwan's benchmark index plummeted 4.4%, and other regional markets also suffered losses.
