Turin, April 8 (LaPresse) – Madonna and Elton John have made peace after years of disagreements. This was announced by the Queen of pop in a long post on social media, commenting on a photo in which the two artists embrace. 'Went to see Elton John perform on Saturday Night Live this weekend! Wow,' Madonna writes. And she recalls: ‘In high school I snuck out one night to see Elton John live in Detroit. It was an unforgettable performance that helped me understand the transformative power of music. I had always felt like an outsider growing up and seeing him on stage helped me understand that it was OK to be different, to stand out, to take the road less travelled. It was even essential'. Madonna also recounts how much it hurt her to know that an artist she admired so much, publicly shared his dislike for her. ‘When I met him,’ Madonna writes, ‘the first thing that came out of his mouth was “Forgive me” and the wall between us came tumbling down. Forgiveness is a powerful tool. Within minutes. We hugged each other. Then he told me he had written a song for me and wanted to collaborate. It was like the circle was closed!
