Rome, May 9 (LaPresse) – ‘M – Son of the Century’, starring an extraordinary Luca Marinelli, has been named the “Series of the Year” for 2025. The announcement comes from the Italian Film Journalists (SNGCI), who today also revealed the Nastri d’Argento already awarded to the most iconic talents of the past season, along with the finalists now up for voting in the categories of Comedy, Crime, Drama, Dramedy, and TV Movie. The series, written by Stefano Bises and Davide Serino, is based on the Strega Prize-winning bestseller by Antonio Scurati, directed by Joe Wright, and produced by Sky Studios and Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment – a Fremantle group company (in collaboration with Fremantle and Cinecittà Spa). M – Son of the Century will be awarded on Saturday, May 31 in Naples, during the closing night of the Nastri d’Argento Grandi Serie—now in its fifth edition—organized by the Film Journalists (SNGCI) in partnership with the Campania Region Film Commission and supported by the MiC – Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual, and institutional partners SIAE, Nuovo IMAIE, and Fondazione Nobis.
