Sanremo (Imperia), 30 May (LaPresse) – The mayor of Sanremo, Alessandro Mager, accompanied by the Councillor for Tourism Alessandro Sindoni, called a press conference following the publication of the ruling issued yesterday by the Council of State, which rejected all appeals lodged against the organisation of the next Italian Song Festival. "The Council of State has confirmed the validity of the expression of interest that we have carefully and determinedly put together. Only Rai responded to our initiative. Next week, the council will issue guidelines for the composition of the commission responsible for opening Rai's envelope. This will mark the start of the selection phase, during which the proposal received will be evaluated. The negotiation phase will then begin. Rai will be invited to sit down at the negotiating table. The final decision should be made in about a month,‘ said the mayor, adding: ’I don't think Rai's proposal will differ from our expression of interest. Knowing how seriously Rai works, I don't think there will be any surprises. We know for sure that the Festival will take place at the Ariston."
