Rome, 5 June (LaPresse) – On Thursday 12 June at 12 noon, Danny Boyle will star in a masterclass at the Casa del Cinema, organised by Fondazione Cinema per Roma and Sony Pictures and introduced by Paola Malanga, Artistic Director of the Foundation and the Rome Film Festival. The British filmmaker will look back with the audience on his extraordinary career, which has seen him direct films such as Slumdog Millionaire, winner of eight Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director, and other acclaimed global hits including Trainspotting, The Beach, 127 Hours and Yesterday. The masterclass will be preceded by a preview of the first 28 minutes of his new film, “28 Years Later”, written by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Civil War, Warfare) and produced by Cillian Murphy. The film brings to the big screen a terrifying new adventure in the saga that Boyle launched in 2002 with 28 Days Later and continued in 2007 with 28 Weeks Later. Starring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Williams and Ralph Fiennes, 28 Years Later is produced by Sony Pictures and will be released in Italian cinemas on Wednesday 18 June, distributed by Eagle Pictures.
