Turin, 14 June (LaPresse) – ‘They continue to kill children, they are not men!’ These were the words of Roberto Benigni, guest on Propaganda Live, in his reflection on the wars currently raging around the world, with particular reference to the conflict in Ukraine, the situation in Palestine and Gaza, and the tragedies in the Mediterranean Sea. The Oscar-winning actor highlighted the lack of a ‘real European Union’ which, in his opinion, could have helped prevent such events. Benigni also recalled the words of Joe Biden, who, after the attacks on 7 October, called on the Israeli government not to respond ‘to horror with more horror’, an appeal which, according to the actor, has not been heeded. In his speech, Benigni also focused on the issue of child victims of war: 'When children play war, as soon as one gets scratched, the game stops. But why do they continue to kill children?
