Milan, 22 July (LaPresse) – ‘The intention of the Venice Film Festival has always been to support quality cinema in the cultural and artistic sense: it is an exhibition, not a festival.’ This was stated by the president of the Venice Biennale, Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, at the press conference presenting the 82nd International Film Festival. An exhibition ‘which is also a point of reference for young audiences, which is the most remarkable thing,’ he added.
