Rome, 17 August (LaPresse) – British actor Terence Stamp, a pillar of cinema known for playing supervillain General Zod in the Superman films, has died at the age of 87. The Oscar-nominated actor, who starred in more than 60 films during his career, including The Englishman and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, died on Sunday morning (17 August), his family announced, as reported by The Independent.
