Milan, November 22 (LaPresse) – "We offered the family of Ornella Vanoni the possibility of holding the funeral chamber at Palazzo Marino or at the Piccolo Teatro." This was stated by the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, on the sidelines of an event, commenting on the passing of the singer. "Of course, it’s a decision that belongs to the family, but if they chose one of these two options, we would immediately make arrangements. In my opinion, it would be the right thing to do, because a tribute from the people of Milan to Ornella Vanoni would be fitting." Regarding Vanoni’s proposal to dedicate a flowerbed in Milan in her honor, "we’ll see what we can do. It’s always one of those things that’s both serious and playful, as Ornella used to say. She was a giant in the artistic history not only of Milan, and she probably deserves even more," Sala concluded.
