Rome, 8 December (LaPresse) – Massimo Giletti was attacked and punched by a former secret service agent while attempting to interview him about the Orlandi case. The full video of the attack will be broadcast tonight on “Lo stato delle cose” on Rai3. ‘These are the risks of the job for journalists who go looking for certain news stories involving sensitive individuals who are not used to answering real questions and who may have moments when they react badly,’ the journalist and presenter explained to LaPresse. “The important thing is that I did not react violently, as that would have created a delicate situation. Report it? As Minoli said, I am a great street journalist, this is my passion, you know that something can happen to you. I don't think it's necessary,” he added. ‘There is much more to the video,’ concluded Giletti. ‘I remember that this gentleman belongs to a group of men from the services who warned Emanuela Orlandi's uncle, Mario Meneguzzi, that he was being followed by the police. The question is: why did they warn him? This is the big question mark. Why wasn't it investigated? I will investigate this, especially after being punched.’
