Frankfurt (Germany), 9 December (LaPresse) – Twins Alice and Ellen Kessler were buried in a private ceremony without an audience. This was reported by Bild. The two artists, aged 89, died together on 17 November at their home in Grünwald, near Munich, choosing assisted suicide. The Kesslers had always stated that they wanted to remain together “even in death”. Ellen had already anticipated this in April 2024, explaining that the wish had also been put in writing: “In death, we would like to be together – and that is what we have stipulated in our will”. According to Bild, the two sisters' urns were laid to rest without a public ceremony or guests, in absolute silence, as requested. They now rest alongside their mother Elsa in the Grünwald cemetery, where they had expressed their wish to be “reunited with our beloved mother”.
