Genoa, Jan. 7 (LaPresse) – The position of Roberto Spinelli, son of Genoese port entrepreneur Aldo Spinelli, in relation to the investigation into corruption in Liguria that shook the Region of Liguria and the port of Genoa from the foundations last May, has been definitively archived. The decision comes by decree of Genoa's gip Paola Faggioni. Spinelli's attorneys point out that Spinelli's declarations of absolute extraneousness to the affair, which he had already made during the interrogation of guarantee in May 2024, have been confirmed by the investigations carried out and by the trial results, so much so that they did not even allow the commencement of criminal proceedings against him. ‘I am satisfied,‘ Roberto Spinelli commented, “with this measure, an affair that unjustly involved me and that, for so many months, unjustly exposed me to a ”media pillory’ without me or the companies involved having ever committed any wrongdoing is now closed.
