Trento, Jan. 14 (LaPresse) – ‘I take note once again of what has been made public regarding the proceedings on the so-called “Case Pantani-Madonna di Campiglio” that, also by virtue of our defense briefs and related preliminary requests, the prosecutor's office at the Court of Trento has decided to establish. I am of the opinion that when a judicial office, as in this case is the Public Prosecutor's Office of Trento, demonstrates in fact that it diligently and fully carries out its function and work, the best form of appreciation and sharing is a respectful silence'. These are the words to LaPresse from lawyers Fiorenzo and Alberto Alessi, who assist Marco Pantani's parents, Tonina and Paolo, in relation to the news spread by LaPresse on the decision of the Trento prosecutor's office to acquire documents and files from the prosecution offices that have investigated the death of Marco Pantani over time. Among the documents requested by the Trento prosecutor's office are also the declarations made at the time and on several occasions to the Carabinieri by the former head of the Mondragone Camorra clan, who later became a collaborator of justice, according to whom ‘if Pantani won the Giro he would have thrown those who managed the betting out onto the street’.
