Cagliari, January 17 (LaPresse) – The severe weather situation in Sardinia is worsening. The weather alert has been upgraded to orange for hydrogeological risk in Campidano, while the yellow alert for hydraulic risk remains in place. This was stated in the notice issued by the Regional Civil Protection starting from the afternoon of Friday, January 17, and continuing throughout Saturday, January 18, 2025.
The municipal administration of Cagliari is urging residents to exercise maximum caution, particularly in the municipality of Pirri, a zone prone to flooding. Crossing swollen streams on foot or by any vehicle is strictly prohibited, as is stopping near bridges, riverbanks, and crossing underpasses.
