Turin, Jan. 18 (LaPresse) – Two more suspects have emerged, in addition to Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okye and the owner of a pizzeria often frequented by the players, in the investigation conducted by the Udine public prosecutor's office into a series of anomalous bets linked to the Lazio-Udinese match last March 11. This was reported by the ‘Gazzettino’. They are a citizen owner of a Snai betting centre in Udine and a building contractor. According to the investigators, the German goalkeeper, naturalised Nigerian, had bet on him being cautioned in a match in the last championship. In Lazio v Udine Okoye was cautioned midway through the second half for time wasting. The charge against the suspects is that of fraud. On a sporting level, the Udinese player faces a disqualification of up to four years.
