Milan, 27 Jan (LaPresse) – The Lombardy Region's Natural Hazards Monitoring Functional Centre has issued a yellow (ordinary) weather alert for hydrogeological risk from 2 p.m. today, Monday 27 January, and for the next 24 hours. Yellow alert also for water risk from 6 p.m. until 4 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday 28 January. During the weather alert, citizens are urged to be careful near areas at risk of flooding of the two rivers and subways. In addition, people are reminded not to stand under trees and near construction site scaffolding, dehors and tents. It is important to secure objects and vases on balconies and all objects that may be moved by the weather. It is also important to pay attention to weather phenomena at outdoor events in order to prevent dangerous situations. The Municipal Operations Centre (COC) of the Civil Protection will be active to monitor and coordinate any interventions in the city.
