Vatican City (Vatican), 5 March. (LaPresse) – "We realize that we are fragile when we find ourselves exposed, in the social and political life of our time, to the 'fine dust' that pollutes the world: ideological opposition, the logic of prevarication, the return of old identity ideologies that theorize the exclusion of others, the exploitation of the earth's resources, violence in all its forms and violence between peoples. They are all 'toxic dust' that cloud the air of our planet, prevent peaceful coexistence, while every day uncertainty and fear of the future grows within us." Pope Francis writes this in the homily for Ash Wednesday read by Cardinal Angelo De Donatis during the service at the Basilica of Santa Sabina.
