Bologna, 6 Mar. (LaPresse) – ‘I saw my uncle grabbing my sister by the neck’. This was stated by Alì Haider, the brother of Saman Abbas, who was called to testify at the second hearing of the appeal trial, in Bologna's Assize Court, for the murder of his sister, the 18-year-old girl of Pakistani origin and resident in Novellara, in the Reggio Emilia area, who disappeared in the spring of 2021 and whose remains were found a year and a half later. The young man gave his testimony from behind a screen. For the death of the young girl at first instance, the mother and father of the 18-year-old girl and her uncle Danish Hasnain were sentenced to life imprisonment and 14 years.
