Milan, March 14 (LaPresse) – Key pieces of evidence from the Poggi case are missing or have been destroyed. According to legal sources, in December 2021 and April 2022, the evidence related to the murder of Chiara Poggi was returned to the victim's family at the request of Alberto Stasi’s defense team, not the civil party.

Among the items returned were a computer, a white women’s bicycle, memory cards for cameras, several chairs, and other objects. The bloodstained pajamas, which were shown in photographs by the Milan Prosecutor General’s Office during the second appeal that led to Stasi’s 16-year sentence, had already been destroyed by funeral home staff when they cut them to remove them from the body.

Years later, it remains uncertain whether these objects can be made available again to investigators now probing Andrea Sempio for involvement in the murder.
