Milano, March 23 (LaPresse) – The Prosecutor's Office of Milan has opened an exploratory investigation into the sale of the San Siro stadium by the Municipality to Milan and Inter. The case, coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Tiziana Siciliano, head of the Department for Crimes Against the Public Administration, and Prosecutor Marcello Viola, has been registered under model 45, without any allegations of crime or suspects, to verify if there may be any harm to public finances from the sale procedure of the Meazza stadium. This week, the clubs sent the feasibility document to Palazzo Marino, and the city council, led by Mayor Giuseppe Sala, approved the resolution with the guidelines for the subsequent steps: the launch of a service conference and a public notice to check the interest of other parties in purchasing. The figures would be around 124 million for the area plus 72 million and 980 thousand euros for the facility, but with an '80 million discount' borne by the Municipality for the removal of demolition debris and environmental remediation.
