Vatican City, April 14 (LaPresse) – Pope Francis has resumed his daily audiences. As reported by the Holy See Press Office, this morning, Bergoglio met with Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. The resumption of the audiences marks another step toward the Pope's return to normal activities. During the audience with Cardinal Semeraro, Bergoglio authorized the same Dicastery to promulgate several decrees, including the recognition of the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Antonio Gaudí i Cornet, Faithful Layman, born on June 25, 1852, probably in Reus (Spain), and died on June 10, 1926, in Barcelona (Spain). Pope Francis also appointed Monsignor Glenn Montebon Corsiga, from the clergy of the Diocese of Dumaguete, as the new bishop of the Diocese of Ipil (Philippines), having previously served as the Vicar General.
