Vatican City (Vatican), 22 Apr (LaPresse) – The hope for the new pontificate is that ‘it may begin under the star of Carlo Acutis, a beautiful figure for young people in our time’. The Bishop of Assisi Monsignor Domenico Sorrentino told LaPresse. The canonisation ceremony of Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint in the history of the Church, was scheduled for 27 April on the occasion of the Jubilee of Teenagers, but was suspended following the Pope's death. A figure, that of Acutis, who can ‘lead to peace in the footsteps of Francis of Assisi. These days,' says Monsignor Sorrentino, ’we are seeing an extraordinary influx of young people to Assisi. Their work is incredible'.
