Milan, 23 April (LaPresse) – The public prosecutor's office of Verbania has filed indictment requests for five people for the collapse of the Mottarone cable car on 23 May 2021, in which 14 passengers died. They are the five suspects who were served the notice of closure of the investigation in March: Luigi Nerini, sole director of Ferrovie del Mottarone; Enrico Perocchio, plant manager; Gabriele Tadini, cable car service manager; Martin Leitner, managing director of Leitner spa; and Peter Rabanser, manager of the Customer Service sector of the same company. The charges, in various capacities, are attempted transport safety, culpable disaster, culpable homicide and culpable injury. Tadini and Perocchio are also charged with forgery.
