Rome, May 7th (LaPresse) – “A change of narrative? My themes are in there, but the book is an investigation into love,” said Roberto Saviano, responding to reporters' questions during the presentation of his new book 'L’amore mio non muore' at Mondadori in the 'Alberto Sordi' gallery in Rome. “It's an attempt to explore the power of emotion: loving is never a waste—in fact, it’s the opposite of economics. Marcuse already said that,” continued the writer, who admitted that “writing it was a painful but exhilarating experience, unlike anything I’ve had in a long time.”
On the repeated delays in the Bidognetti trial, Saviano commented: “No one is following this trial anymore. I’ve been involved in this case—against the boss who threatened me and was convicted in the first instance along with his lawyer—for 16 years.”
He then addressed the topic of the ’Ndrangheta's presence in stadium stands. “It’s a major issue that no one ever talks about. The stands are absolutely the new investment hub for criminal organizations,” he concluded.
