Milan, 11 May (LaPresse) – Hani Fouad Abdelghaffar Nasra, the 51-year-old Egyptian man stabbed outside the Hotel Berna in Via Napo Torriani in Milan by prisoner Emanuele De Maria, now wanted abroad, is out of danger and conscious at Niguarda Hospital. The victim, who worked in the hotel café near the central station, where De Maria was also allowed to work outside prison as a receptionist, woke up after lengthy and delicate surgery on his chest and neck. When the doctors give the go-ahead, he will be able to be interviewed by the mobile squad investigators who are conducting the investigation. There is still no trace of the 35-year-old Neapolitan, who was serving his final sentence in Bollate for the 2016 murder of a 23-year-old Tunisian woman in the Caserta area. After the murder, the man fled to Germany, where he was captured in 2018. Once again, there are fears that De Maria may have fled abroad (his father is believed to be in the Netherlands), and for this reason the search has been extended beyond Italy's borders.
