Milan, 29 May (LaPresse) – Between 3 and 6 years in prison. These are the sentences requested by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office this morning in the trial of 11 anarchists from Milan and elsewhere for the riots during the demonstration in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito on 11 February 2023. “This was not a demonstration like any other, but one organised with the aim of causing urban guerrilla warfare,” said prosecutors Leonardo Lesti and Francesca Crupi in their closing arguments, repeating the expression “guerrilla warfare” several times before the judges of the tenth criminal section (Bertoja-Taricco-Cantù Rajnoldi) and describing the most heated moments, lasting several minutes, of the clashes between demonstrators and police officers on duty in Piazza XXIV Maggio and Viale Sabotino. The charges include aggravated resistance to public officials, damage to property and misrepresentation.
