Rome, May 29 (LaPresse) – The Council of State has rejected all appeals relating to the awarding of the Festival for the three-year period 2026-2028, confirming the need for a public tender. The decision rejects in its entirety all appeals filed by Rai, Rai Pubblicità, and the Municipality of Sanremo itself, confirming the previous ruling of the Liguria Regional Administrative Court. The Ligurian administrative court had already ruled that the direct award of the 2024-2025 editions to Rai was unlawful, establishing the obligation to hold a public tender for future editions. The Council of State also declared the appeals of consumer associations inadmissible.
