Milan, May 30 (LaPresse) – A 13-year-old boy who was stabbed on May 16 in Via Vittorio Veneto, in the Porta Venezia area, died this morning at Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Milan. His attacker, a 26-year-old Cuban man, is still in prison after being arrested by the Carabinieri for attempted murder. Now, the charge by Prosecutor Francesca Crupi will be changed to voluntary manslaughter.

The young boy of Egyptian origin died after two weeks in intensive care, where he had been admitted with a penetrating wound on the right side of his chest and a lung puncture, inflicted by a 19-year-old Italian. The friend said the attack happened while they were trying to buy drugs. A fight allegedly broke out, and the pusher stabbed both the victim and a Rottweiler dog found in the back seat of the car with stab wounds. The dog later died in a veterinary clinic.

The Cuban man was stopped the following night by the Duomo Company soldiers in Pozzuolo Martesana, near Milan. He had a cut on his right hand, consistent with the attack, and handed over the clothes he was wearing during the incident. Investigations led to the discovery of the murder weapon, a 20-centimeter blade knife, in a field on Via Aldo Merigli in Pozzuolo Martesana.

The man is currently in San Vittore prison after the arrest was validated and the pre-trial detention order was issued by Judge Tiziana Landoni.
