Milan, June 7 (LaPresse) – "We are a people on a journey. This awareness does not separate us but immerses us in humanity, like yeast in dough, which makes all of it rise. The Lord’s year of grace, expressed in the Jubilee, contains this ferment. In a world torn and without peace, the Holy Spirit teaches us to walk together. The earth will rest, justice will prevail, the poor will rejoice, and peace will return if we no longer move as predators but as pilgrims. No longer each one for themselves, but harmonizing our steps with those of others. Not consuming the world greedily, but cultivating and caring for it, as the encyclical Laudato si’ teaches us." These were the words of Pope Leo XIV during his homily at the Pentecost vigil held as part of the Jubilee of Movements, Associations, and New Communities.
