Rome, June 12 (LaPresse) – Tragedy struck in the Roman neighborhood of Garbatella, on Via Ignazio Persico 2, where a 32-year-old man died after suffering a heart attack following the ingestion of cocaine. The young man, who was under house arrest, allegedly ingested the substance to prevent it from being found during a police search. Carabinieri, the State Police, and an ambulance intervened at the scene, but there was nothing they could do for the 32-year-old. The news quickly triggered moments of intense tension among the young man’s friends and family, who gathered in front of his home. Back in March, in the drug dealing area of Quarticciolo, a dealer who was fleeing from the police, who were attempting to check him, swallowed several doses of cocaine and died shortly afterward.
