Rome, June 15 (LaPresse) – "I renew my appeal to the fighters to stop, protect civilians, and engage in dialogue for peace. I urge the international community to intensify efforts to at least provide essential assistance to the population affected by the severe humanitarian crisis. Let us continue to pray for peace in the Middle East, in Ukraine, and throughout the world." These were the words of Pope Leo XIV before the recitation of the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square.
