Milan, June 16 (LaPresse) – The Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office has requested that Stefano Boeri, Paolo Cino Zucchi, and four other architects stand trial on various charges including bid rigging and false statements related to the €8.6 million international tender for the design of the European Library of Information and Culture (Beic) in Milan, financed by PNRR funds. Prosecutors Giancarla Serafini, Paolo Filippini, and Mauro Clerici, together with Deputy Prosecutor Tiziana Siciliano, who coordinated the investigation conducted by the economic and financial police unit of the Guardia di Finanza, have asked the investigating judge (GIP) to indict the president of Triennale and the Politecnico professor, both barred last February by the GIP Luigi Iannelli from serving on evaluation committees.
Also requested for trial are architects Pier Paolo Tamburelli, a member of the winning consortium, Angelo Raffaele Lunati, and Giancarlo Floridi, who ranked first along with the professional firms Baukuh–Onsitestudio–SCE Project and Andrea Caputo.
Dismissal was requested for Manuela Fantini.
