Rome, June 16 (LaPresse) – Starting today and until September 16, the medical assistance service inside the Colosseum Archaeological Park will be active, as it is every year, offering immediate healthcare to visitors and staff throughout the site’s opening hours.
The 2025 novelty is the addition of a third medical unit, joining the two that have operated in previous years. A total of three medical stations across the archaeological area reflects the Park’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and protected visit, especially during the hottest months.
At the Colosseum, the station will be staffed by a physician specialized in resuscitation techniques and a nurse, and will be fully equipped with medical tools and a gazebo. The chosen area, already used temporarily for this purpose in recent years, is separate from the main visitor flow but easily accessible. It includes an electric supply point and a water fountain.
The second station will be clearly visible at the beginning of the Palatine Clivus. It will include an ambulance, a rescue driver, and a doctor trained in resuscitation, providing support to visitors climbing the hill of the emperors.
The third and new station will be operational from June 16 to 23 at the Largo della Salara Vecchia entrance (Via dei Fori Imperiali), and from June 24 onwards it will move to the "Roman Forum" road (at the foot of the Capitoline Hill, in the Vico Iugario area). This station will also include an ambulance, a rescue driver, and two additional emergency responders.
