Milan, 17 June (LaPresse) – ‘We will approach the investigations being carried out by an expert, who is by definition a third party, with seriousness and responsibility. We expect important data to emerge, but this will have to be compared with what came out in the trials against Stasi’. This was stated by lawyer Luigi Tizzoni, legal representative of the Poggi family, upon his arrival at the police headquarters in Milan, where expert investigations are being carried out as part of the preliminary investigation ordered for the reopening of the inquiry into the murder of Chiara Poggi, which took place in Garlasco on 14 August 2007. Regarding rumours about possible evidence against Andrea Sempio, Tizzoni expressed caution: “I am very surprised to read that there is already evidence against Sempio. I wonder how this can be, given that everything is still under investigation, so we will wait, see and then evaluate”. Regarding the evidence found among the rubbish in the victim's house, he specified: “The rubbish may simply reveal whether someone touched those objects, but this will then have to be contextualised, identified first, of course, and assessed to see if it could be relevant to the crime scene, which in my opinion it is not, but we will see”.
