Rome, June 20 (LaPresse) – The National Air Quality Plan has been adopted by the Council of Ministers.

The Plan — the result of the work of the Steering Committee established under the Presidency of the Council and developed through a collaborative process with the Regions and the relevant ministries — includes funding of approximately €2.4 billion, of which €1.7 billion has been allocated by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.

There are four main areas of intervention:

Promotion of low-emission agricultural techniques,

Investment in sustainable mobility,

Promotion of more efficient heating systems for residential use,

Public awareness and information campaigns targeting citizens.
