Milan, June 25 (LaPresse) – The Milan Court of Appeal has confirmed the life sentence for Alessandro Impagnatiello for the femicide of Giulia Tramontano, his 29-year-old partner who was seven months pregnant when she was stabbed 37 times on the evening of May 27, 2023. The judges excluded the aggravating circumstance of premeditation, as requested by lawyer Giulia Geradini, but upheld that of cruelty. The 29-year-old, originally from Sant’Antimo in Campania, was stabbed 37 times in their home on Via Novella 14 in Senago. Her body was burned twice—once in the bathtub and again in the garage—with alcohol and gasoline, then moved and hidden for nearly four days before being found wrapped in plastic sheets in a wall cavity on the night of the suspect's arrest.
