Rome, 4 July (LaPresse) – Around twenty people have been injured, according to reports so far, in the explosion of a LPG tanker at a petrol station and depot in Via dei Gordiani 34 in Rome, in the Prenestino area. Among the injured are ten police officers, law enforcement personnel and several passers-by. During the initial rescue operations following the explosion, the Carabinieri promptly evacuated the area and provided first aid to some of the injured, who were taken to hospital in police cars, including one of the most seriously injured, who was taken to Vannini Hospital. A Carabinieri officer from the mobile radio unit, who was among the first to arrive on the scene, was also slightly injured.
