Milan, 14 July (LaPresse) – The Carabinieri of the Frascati Investigative Unit, in the province of Rome, have executed an order, issued by the investigating magistrate of the Ordinary Court of Rome, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, District Anti-Mafia Directorate, for the preventive detention in prison of six men (three South Americans, two Albanians and one Italian) seriously suspected of being, in various capacities, responsible for two kidnappings for the purpose of extortion (one of which was followed by the attempted murder of the victim) committed on 2 June 2024 in a house in Lanuvio.One of the arrested men, an Albanian national, is believed to be one of the most influential drug traffickers in the Rome area and the Castelli region. The kidnappings, both documented by video footage acquired as evidence, are believed to have been aggravated by the use of mafia methods.
