Naples, July 25 (LaPresse) – “This is a day of mourning. Three workers lost their lives in the collapse of a lift basket in a private building in Vomero. I want to express my deepest condolences, on behalf of myself, the City Administration, and all of Naples, to the families affected by this yet another silent massacre.” This was stated by the Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi.
“We cannot and must not resign ourselves. To the business world, all institutions, and trade unions, I reiterate my firm commitment to stopping deaths at work. More safety, more inspections, and more training are needed. We are ready to do everything necessary and required,” Manfredi added.
