Milan, 31 July (LaPresse) – The former councillor for urban regeneration in Milan, Giancarlo Tancredi, and entrepreneur Manfredi Catella have been arrested as part of an investigation into urban planning and an alleged “corrupt building system”. The Milan Financial Police's Economic and Financial Unit, coordinated by prosecutors Petruzzella, Filippini, Clerici and Siciliano, executed the order for preventive custody under house arrest, issued on Wednesday evening by investigating magistrate Mattia Fiorentini against the 63-year-old who resigned last Monday from the council led by Mayor Giuseppe Sala (under investigation) and the 56-year-old real estate developer who, as CEO of Coima, handed back to the board of directors his powers to deal with the public administration. Giuseppe Marinoni, architect Alessandro Scandurra and entrepreneur Federico Pella were also arrested in the investigation into urban planning in Milan. This is the decision of investigating magistrate Mattia Fiorentini, who ordered house arrest for the 64-year-old former president of the landscape commission, 48-year-old Federico Pella, former manager of J+S who resigned because of the investigation, and 57-year-old Alessandro Scandurra, member of the landscape commission between 2018 and 2024. Prison also for Andrea Bezziccheri. This is the decision of Milan investigating magistrate Mattia Fiorentini against the Bluestone real estate entrepreneur under investigation in the urban planning inquiry. The 57-year-old was arrested for corruption by the Milan financial police after defending himself in a preliminary hearing last Wednesday, assisted by lawyer Andrea Soliani.
