Milan, 6 August (LaPresse) – The Privacy Authority has opened an investigation ‘following the broadcast of audio, or excerpts from a private conversation, involving actor Raoul Bova in order to ascertain any violations of privacy legislation and the Code of Ethics for Journalists’. The Authority stated that ‘the audio, disseminated without consent, comes from a private chat conversation between the actor and a third party. The content was subsequently reposted on social media, often accompanied by posts, videos and cartoons with an ironic or derogatory tone, obtaining widespread media coverage’.The Authority, the note further specifies, ‘intervened following the actor's complaint and also issued a warning to all potential users of the audio or content extracted from the actor's private conversation, reiterating that their further dissemination may result in the adoption of any measures deemed appropriate, including sanctions.’
