Naples, August 9 (LaPresse) – The Civil Protection Department is closely monitoring the severe fire affecting the Vesuvius National Park. To combat the flames and ensure maximum aerial coverage for firefighting operations, six water bombers from the national firefighting air fleet, coming from various regions, have been operating on the vast blaze since dawn. Alongside the state fleet, regional aerial resources are also engaged in fighting the fire. A team from the Department — the Civil Protection informs — is heading to the coordination center in Terzigno to support local authorities in the firefighting efforts.
