Naples, Aug 19 (LaPresse) – A detention order issued by the public prosecutor has been executed against 21-year-old Roberto Marchese, accused of killing 58-year-old police inspector Ciro Luongo, his mother’s partner, who was murdered yesterday in his home in Melito, near Naples. The young man was traced late yesterday evening after several hours of joint searches conducted by the Police and the Carabinieri. The dynamics of the incident are still being reconstructed: the hypothesis is that an argument broke out between the two over trivial reasons, sparked by a reprimand from the 58-year-old towards the 21-year-old; the latter allegedly grabbed a knife and fatally wounded Luongo. The investigation, carried out by the Naples Flying Squad and the Carabinieri of the Marano company, is being coordinated by the Naples North Prosecutor’s Office.
