Milan, 20 August (LaPresse) – Real estate developer Manfredi Catella, founder of Coima sgr, arrived at the Milan court on Wednesday morning for the hearing before the Review Court to discuss the appeal against the precautionary measure of house arrest. Catella arrived in a private hire car and greeted the journalists present, immediately taken away by his lawyer Francesco Mucciarelli, who was in the car with him, with a curt “No comment”. The entrepreneur was arrested on 31 July following a decision by investigating magistrate Mattia Fiorentini as part of the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office's investigation into urban planning. In recent weeks, the Review Court has already ruled on the appeals of the other five arrested, replacing house arrest with a one-year ban for former municipal councillor Giancarlo Tancredi, former president of the Landscape Commission Giuseppe Marinoni and manager Federico Pella, while the arrests of architect Alessandro Scandurra and entrepreneur Andrea Bezziccheri, the only one initially sent to prison, were annulled.
